Kenneth Carter, Director

As the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Psychology, Dr. Kenneth Carter teaches introductory courses in psychology as well as advanced courses in psychopathology and clinical psychopharmacology. Carter has published extensively in both academic and lay publications, actively engaging in the translation of research in psychology into everyday language. His articles have been published in magazines such as Psychology Today and Women’s Health. He has appeared on news programs such as NPR’s Short Wave, and NBC’s Today show and was the host of NBC Sport’s Mind of a Motorhead.

Daren Wang, Assistant Director

Daren Wang is a writer, public radio producer, and social entrepreneur. He co-founded the AJC-Decatur Book Festival in 2005 and served as its Executive Director until 2017. As a public radio producer, he created the nationally syndicated series Porches: The South & Her Writers and The Spoken Word. He published The Hidden Light of Northern Fires in 2017. It was a regional bestseller and was a finalist for both the Georgia Author of the Year award and the Townsend Prize.
